Archived: 16 Pounds Of Cocaine Found Inside A Wooden Pallet At Central Minnesota Business

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force and the Cold Spring Police are investigating narcotics that were found inside a wooden pallet at a business in the central Minnesota region. The business, which has not been named at this time, found a white powdery substance inside the pallet Thursday after accidentally damaging the pallet during handling.

After dismantling the pallet, the task force found around 16 pounds of a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force says the estimated street value of the narcotics could be between $300,000 to $700,000 depending on its purity.

It is currently unknown how long the cocaine was inside the pallet and where the pallet came from or where it has been. The task force says that there is no reason to believe that anyone from the business had any knowledge of the cocaine.
