Workers are digging up earth and laying the groundwork for the $100 million 5th Avenue Live project. The St. Cloud State University welcome center and 455-student housing complex located at the former Coborn’s grocery store is expected to be complete next August.
 

The two, four-story buildings will have student apartments on the upper floors, with retail on the ground floor of one of the buildings. The 12,000 square-foot welcome center will be on the ground floor of the other building.
