Archived: A Richmond woman is in the hospital after her car went airborne

A Richmond woman is in the hospital after her car went airborne.

Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson says the vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Ashley Gray, was traveling southbound on County Road 49 when she crossed the center line at the intersection of Bolfing Road.  Gray entered the ditch where she then hit an approach causing the car to go airborne.

Gray was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.   Gudmundson also says alcohol and a controlled substance may have been a factor in the crash.

Cold Spring Police and Fire along with Gold Cross Ambulance assisted with the crash.
