Archived: A Waite Park Man Was Arrested After Driving A Forklift While Intoxicated Tuesday
A Waite Park man was charged after a breathalizer test proved he was driving a forklift while intoxicated Tuesday morning.
Waite Park Police Chief David Bentrud says officers received a report of an intoxicated man on a forklift just before 9 a.m. They found 55-year-old Steven John Burnevik driving at 115 4th St. N. and could smell alcohol.
Burnevik failed a field sobriety test and a breathalizer showed a BAC of .12.
He was taken to Stearns County Jail and charged with 3rd degree DUI and driving after cancellation IPS.
