Advisory For Home Improvement Scam

The St. Cloud Police has recently been informed of a home improvement scam by several homeowners across Stearns County. The contractor responsible for the scam has been charging an excessive amount for repaving driveways and has not provided proper contract information.
Police are asking for people to obtain a detailed contract for work done on their homes and to not pay in cash if they are asked to by the contractor. They are also asking that people make sure that the company which employs the contractor is reputable.
