The Atwood Memorial Center art gallery will feature visual and literary works of Minnesotans that have been victims of crime. The Art of Recovery exhibit will start on Monday September 17 and go through Friday October 26th.
The artists’ pieces reflect their personal experiences as the victim of crimes including murder, kidnapping, assault, rape, arson, molestation and domestic abuse. The artists featured in the exhibit are from the Twin Cities, Duluth, Crookston, Red Wing, and Marine on St. Croix.
The exhibit is co-sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Justice Program and the Minnesota State Arts Board. The Office of Justice Program helps crime victims by providing leadership and other resources.
