Archived: Art Therapy Classes Offered for Cancer Patients

There’s an opportunity for cancer patients and their families to express themselves in new ways. Art therapy classes are being offered to cancer patients, families and caregivers at the CentraCare Health Plaza.  The series of four art classes will be held from 4 to 5:30 PM on Wednesdays beginning this week.  In the class, master level art therapist Katie Kinzer guides students in the creative process using a wide assortment of art supplies.  Patients can use art therapy to record their thoughts and feelings in a “visual journal”. Class sizes are limited and there is a nominal cost to register.  For more information call the Coborn Cancer Center at (320) 229-4907 or visit www.centracare.com.
