Barn Destoryed In Fire West Of Sauk Centre Friday

A barn was fully destroyed by fire late last week.
Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson says they received a call around 3 p.m. last Friday about the fire.
Homeowners Jason and Melanie Borgerding called 911 after seeing the side of their barn in flames. The barn was fully engulfed by the time authorities were able to reach the homestead, located in the Ashley Township. The fire also traveled to the cornfield damaging straw bales after the barn was destroyed.
The Borgerdings stored straw, ATV's, and their John Deere lawnmowers in the 40 by 60 foot barn.
There were no injuries from the fire and the cause is currently unknown.
