Archived: Benton County Sheriff’s Office Receives K9 Vest

A charitable donation has improved the safety of one important member of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says K-9 Ragnar was given a bullet and stab proof vest from non-profit Vested Interest in K9’s. The program gives the potentially lifesaving body armor for the K9 officers in hopes to keep them working. Each vest costs about a thousand dollars, and Ragnar was fortunate to receive one.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the generosity, and Ragnar will be able to serve the area for years to come.
