I-94 Bridge Near SJU To Close Starting Aug. 6th

I-94 Bridge Closure Begins August 6 near St. John's Univ.
Drivers traveling near St. Johns University in Collegeville will experience delays starting on Monday, August 6th when a bridge spanning Interstate 94 is intermittently closed. The closure will affect County Road 159 and 135th Avenue as well as traffic coming from I-94.
The bridge will reduce to one lane of traffic on Monday, August 6th with flaggers controlling traffic from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The bridge will close in both directions on Tuesday, August 7th and re open on Friday, August 10th. Flaggers will allow a single lane of alternating traffic through the bridge on these days.
There will be detours posted on I-94 to help reduce the traffic delays in the area, but all ramps will remain open.
The closure is to install electronic equipment to collect information for a study that is measuring bridge performance. The University of Minnesota’s Department of Civil Engineering is conducting the study.
