Catholic Charities Emergency Services Back To School Drive
08/15/2012 - 10:00 AM
As the school year quickly approaches, Catholic Charities Emergency Services is once again hosting a Back to School drive. Emergency Services collects the essential school supplies to help those children in need.
Last year they assisted around 2,000 Central Minnesota Students with basic school supplies and are expected to help about the same amount this school year. Supplies that are needed include: backpacks, boxes of washable markers, colored pencils, scissors, rulers and large scissors, Elmer's school glue and glue sticks, scientific calculators, dry erase markers, yellow highlighters, headphones for computer labs, USB sticks, pens and pencils.
Supplies can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 :30 p.m., or on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Catholic Charities Emergency Services building. Distribution of the school supplies begins Tuesday, August 21st.
