Archived: Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force Close On Two Area Drug Cases Thursday

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force ended two unrelated investigations of controlled substance sales in the St. Cloud area Thursday.

Investigators say the first drug bust involved the selling of marijuana. The search ended when a warrant led them to a home at 320 3rd Ave. NE. At the time of the search, the homeowner, 52-year-old Wendell Jones, was there along with several others. Investigators found an amount of marijuana and items related to the sale of the drug. Jones is expected to be charged with 5th degree sale of a controlled substance while the others were released and not charged.

The second investigation, not related to the first, ended when the task force used a search warrant at 200 Wilson Avenue Northeast apartment number 2. Two people were in the apartment when investigators came in and found approximately 20 grams of suspected methamphetamine and $600. 25-year-old James Charles Stache was arrested for 1st degree sale of controlled substance and 2nd degree possession with intent to distribute controlled substance. 26-year-old Kadyn Nicole Tillman was also arrested for 2nd degree possession with intent to distribute controlled substance. Both were taken to the Benton County Jail where they are currently being held.

Investigators add that the case will also be sent to Benton County Attorney’s office for review on possible charges of child endangerment as methamphetamine was found in the same room as and near a child.
