Archived: Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force Searches House; Arrests One

The Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force searched a home at 1125 13th Street South on Thursday July 5th after receiving information from citizens that controlled substances were allegedly being sold from the home.

The task force found controlled substances at the residence along with proceeds from the sales and a stolen .40 caliber handgun. 27-year-old Tomasenia Jeanette Thigpen and 42-year-old Russell Lee Moncure and 2 minor children were home at the time of the search. Investigation found that Moncure is a convicted felon and is not allowed to be in possession of any firearms.

Moncure faces possible charges of felony possession of a firearm, felony possession of a stolen firearm, possessing a police scanner during the commission of a crime and 4th degree controlled substance. Moncure was arrested and is held in the Stearns County Jail.

Thigpen faces possible charges of possession of a 5th degree controlled substance, Thigpen was not arrested and was allowed to remain at home for possible long form complaints later.
