CMAB Awards Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants

The Central Minnesota Arts Board has awarded four local schools with grants for art programming. The CMAB Small Capital Arts Grant to Schools provides grants for up for $3,500 with a 50% match to public schools for the purchase of non-consumable capital resources used for arts programming. These purchases must have the potential for a significant or long-term impact on the artistic goals of the school.
The schools receiving grant money are Albany Junior/Senior High for a new Tympani for the school band program. St. Cloud North Junior High for sound equipment and microphones. Sauk Rapids-Rice High for marching band instruments, banner and 2-way radios. St. Cloud Technical High for technology work stations.
The CMAB is one of eleven regional art councils in Minnesota with the purpose of supporting and promoting art appreciation within the Stearns, Sherburne, Benton and Wright counties.
