Archived: Deputies Search for Dog’s Owner

One lucky dog survived after being hit by a car Tuesday night on County Road 50 in Collegeville Township. The driver of the vehicle tried to find the owner, but was unsuccessful. The driver then brought the dog to a local veterinary clinic who later called the sheriff’s office.

The dog is described as a male German Shepherd-lab mix with a broken rear leg from the accident. The dog received treatment from the veterinary clinic and is now being housed at a local kennel under the direction of the sheriff’s office. Deputies are looking to reunite the dog with its owner.

Anyone missing a dog matching the description is asked to contact the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office at 320-259-3702.
