Archived: Disability Hunt in April and May

The deadline to apply for a turkey hunt, designed to make hunting possible for those with disabilities, is fast approaching.

Midwest Outdoors Unlimited is hosting hunts at Rockville County Park and Nature Reserve and Spring Hill County Park in April and May. The organization selects and supervises participants. Each hunter will be paired with an able-bodied hunter while in the park.

The mission of Midwest Outdoors Unlimited is to provide outdoor recreational activities for disabled American veterans, disabled individuals and disabled youth.

The deadline for applications is April 1. Applications can be found online, by calling the Stearns County Park Department, or they can be picked up at the park office at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve, at 1802 Co Rd 137, Waite Park, MN.
