Disaster Relief Grants may be available to Stearns County veterans, their families, and surviving spouses due to the recent flooding and storms.

Stearns County says The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is offering grants of up to $1,000 to reimburse veterans and their families who have not received other state or federal assistance.

To apply, call the Stearns County Veteran Service Office in Waite Park at 320-656-6176 or in Melrose at 320-256-1435.

Completed applications must be received with a postmarked date no later than September 30.
