Highway 24 in Clearwater will be closed up to four times a day starting Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says a section of highway near the Mississippi River Bridge will be experiencing 15-minute closures until December 23.

The closures will happen from sunrise to sunset, Monday-Friday. Flaggers will block traffic going both directions on Highway 24 for 15 minutes at a time. The highway will not be closed during severe weather.

Construction crews will be installing large concrete beams for a new bridge over the Mississippi.
