Archived: Five People Injured, One Seriously, After Two Car Crash Near Rice

One person is in serious condition and four others were hurt in a two car collision near Rice Sunday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2014 Chevy Equinox driven by 88-year-old Pearl Larson of Cold Spring was traveling eastbound on County Road 3 around 11:15 a.m. when she had failed to yield to a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer driven by 35-year-old Jeff Roesler of Maplewood.

Larson’s vehicle was broadsided at the intersection.

Larson was listed in serious condition. Her passenger, 88-year-old Duane Larson, also of Cold Spring, received non-life threatening injuries in the accident.

Roesler was traveling with three other people, 33-year-old Lynn Roesler, 10-year-old Ella Roesler, and 4-year-old William Roesler all of Maplewood. All of the passengers received non-life threatening injuries.

Jeff Roesler was not injured in the accident.
