UPDATE: One Arrested In Weekend Gun Shot Incident

Overton was arrested for second degree assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
St. Cloud Police have arrested a suspect who was allegedly involved in gun shots that were fired in the 100 and 200 blocks of 6th Avenue North this past weekend. The suspect 23-year-old Jamar Hawk Overton was arrested at 523 54th Avenue North on Monday. Police searched the apartment and found a gun.
Overton is being held in the Stearns County Jail for second degree assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The gun shots were fired around midnight on Saturday in the 100 and 200 blocks of 6th Avenue North. According to the police report an argument between two groups of people lead up to two shots being fired and soon after six to eight more were fired.
No one was injured during the incident and the police are still asking anyone with information to call the St. Cloud Police at 251-1200.
