SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman tells us there is both a heat and air pollution advisory out for the Twin Cities, the Minnesota River Valley, and southern Minnesota today.

While St. Cloud, Willmar, Monticello and areas north are not in these advisories expect sultry and fairly dirty air conditions that can cause problems for seniors, kids and people with a history of breathing or heart problems.

Try and limit afternoon outdoor exposure as these advisories and conditions are only set to last until the early evening hours. For more of Bob’s forecast click here.
