According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, a detour and delays can be expected for any motorists traveling Highway 23 through Bock, Minnesota.
Highway 23 will be closed east of Bogus Brook in Bock starting Monday, September 9, between County Road 15 and County Road 24.
The almost 5 mile long detour will direct drivers along Mille Lacs County Road 15, County Road 11 and County Road 24. Access will remain open to downtown Bock, local area businesses and residences.
According to MnDOT, the closure and detour are needed as crews replace the Highway 23 Bogus Brook box culvert. The project’s estimated cost is $245,000.
All lanes of Highway 23 near Bock and Mille Lacs are scheduled to open mid-October.
