Drivers will be delayed along Highway 55 between Buffalo and Rockford during the overnight hours Sunday through Thursday, August 28.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will be working to resurface the road starting at 7 p.m. each night. Roadways will open at 5 a.m. the next day.

MnDOT adds that flaggers and a pilot car will be directing traffic through the work zone alternating 20 minutes for each direction.

Anyone looking to enter Highway 55 from intersecting roads or driveways must wait for the pilot car to pass and then follow it to the end of construction.

When the project is finished, with weather permitting, MnDOT says it will provide a smoother ride and extend the life of the road.
