New survey results show good signs for upcoming college graduates. A total of 257 employers actively recruiting recent graduates were surveyed in August and September of this year. Of the 119 that responded, 36.4 percent planned to increase their hiring. The industries most likely to increase hiring are in education, retail, and business services.

The results come from the eighth annual MN College Job Outlook. The survey is the only study of its kind and is conducted by Andrew Ditlevson, the associate director of St. Cloud State University’s Career Service Center. Ditlevson reminds students to attend and prepare for career fairs, do internships, and utilize the career services offices on campus to make the best of their education.
