Lightning Strike Appears To Have Caused Barn Fire

A lightning strike appears to have caused a barn fire early this morning. According to the police report, the Upsala Fire Department and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office were called to the barn fire located on 220th Avenue in Krain Township around 3 a.m.
A neighbor reported the fire and woke up the homeowners, 57-year-old Robert Theisen and 54-year-old Judith Theisen. The Theisen’s said the barn was filled with hay and had a grain box worth 300 dollars next to it. The barn was announced a complete loss.
The Holdingford Fire Department also provided mutual aid.
