Archived: Lindgren Child Care Center Is Collecting Used Books

Reduce, reuse, recycle is a phrase being taught at the Lindgren Child Care Center.

The center says the 10th annual used book sale is coming up, and right now they’re collecting used books.

The drive began 9 years ago as preschoolers walked across the St. Cloud State University campus and noticed piles of litter. Now, the recycling movement has turned into a used book sale. The children have helped more than 12,000 books find new homes.

Right now, the Lindgren Center is collecting used books for resale. If you’re looking to clean off your shelves you have until Friday, April 14. Books can be brought to SCSU’s Engineering and Computing Center room 122.

The sale is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the SCSU Atwood Lounge.
