Man Arrested For Allegedly Hitting Another Man With A Hammer

A man was arrested late Wednesday night after striking another man with a hammer multiple times.
According to the St. Cloud Police report, a 24-year-old man from St. Cloud received injures to his head after 53-year-old Michael John Boyland struck him several times with a hammer. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injures at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Boyland was also treated at the St. Cloud Hospital for injuries sustained during the incident and is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail facing charges of 2nd degree assault.
The victim faces possible charges of 5th degree assault pending a review by the attorney’s office.
