Man Arrested for Driving Drunk in Stolen Car

A 24-year-old St. Cloud man is being held in the Stearns County Jail for driving drunk in a stolen car, and running from police. It happened Saturday afternoon at about 3:30. While driving to a stolen car investigation, police saw the car driving west on University Drive and conducted a traffic stop. Police say the driver, Jake Bjortomt ran from officers while being questioned. Officers eventually caught and arrested the suspect. Bjortomt faces charges of obstructing legal process, open container, fleeing on foot, car theft, and DUI.
