Meth Lab In Little Falls Busted by Central Minnesota Task Force

An active meth lab was discovered during routine traffic stop earlier this month.

Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force Commander Steve Soyka says that the task force assisted Little Falls Police Department after discovery of an active meth lab inside a vehicle on July 7.

Little Falls police officers were called to a shoplifting complaint, after identifying the suspect as 53-year-old, Troy Oberton, of Little Falls, officers then saw drug paraphernalia in plain sight inside Oberton’s vehicle.

Officers asked Oberton and his passenger 35-year-old, Donna Alger, of Little Falls, to get out of the vehicle.

Along with finding what authorities say is an active meth lab cooking in a water bottle they found hazardous liquid chemicals related to the making of meth.

Both Oberton and Alger are under arrest for 1st degree controlled substance crimes relating to the manufacture of meth and transported to Morrison County Jail.

The task force was assisted by the Little Falls Police Department, the Morrison County Sheriff Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Little Falls Fire Department.
