The date is set for a traffic safety event that will teach people how to prevent crashes while driving.
University Communications for St. Cloud State University says that they will work with the Stearns Benton Toward Zero Deaths coalition to teach crash reduction on Highway 23. Many agencies and groups have focused on reducing injuries and deaths on the 51-mile-long highway. Public safety personnel will present information, along with demonstrations and photo opportunities.
The public is welcome to attend the event, which will be held at the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center by Highway 10 south of campus. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m on Saturday, July 21. On the same day, there will be two classes for young drivers hoping to avoid crashes. For more information, call 320-255-3121.
