More than 200 Arrests or Citations Issued Over Weekend

Officers issued more than 200 arrests or citations this weekend in a special enforcement initiative focusing on downtown and south St. Cloud. In all, Operation NightCAP issued 144 minors, 29 open containers, 11 noise violations, 9 disorderly conducts, 4 drug possession arrests, and 1 DUI among others. Operation NightCAP is an impaired driving program that involves law enforcement saturation throughout the state. NightCAP operations are scheduled during events attending by young people where underage drinking is common.
