Motorcyclist Arrested on Wedding Night

A 26-year-old Waite Park man was arrested for driving his motorcycle while drunk on his wedding night. James Olson took his wife, 26-year-old Taffie, on a motorcycle ride Saturday night. Police say the couple was riding near 2nd Avenue and 2nd Street in Waite Park when Olson, the driver, lost control of the motorcycle as it slipped on wet roads. His wife, the passenger, was thrown off the bike.
Taffie Olson suffered what appeared to be a broken wrist and leg. James Olson was not injured but was arrested for 3rd Degree DUI. He was booked into the Stearns County Jail.
