The Multicultural Resource Center at St. Cloud State University is teaming up with the Department of Ethnic and Women’s Studies and a slew of other campus departments and organizations as a part of their next community event.

 

The event titled Immigrant Human Rights Panel: Discussing the Recent Humanitarian Crisis Along the U.S.-Mexico Border will include a panel discussing the issue of families who were apprehended and sent to detention centers from the U.S.-Mexico border, trying to escape poverty in Central America.

 

The Department of Ethnic and Women’s Studies says the purpose of the panel is to begin a conversation on campus and in student communities. The panel is set to happen on October 29 in the Atwood Theatre.
