Archived: National Donut Day

The Salvation Army is celebrating National Donut Day.

The Salvation Army in conjunction with Coborn’s will be selling boxes of donuts according to media relations director Jeffery DeMars.

The organizations will be selling boxes of donuts for 2 dollars and ninety nine cents. For every box purchased a dollar will be donated to the Salvation Army.

National Donut day goes back 100 years ago during World War I when female volunteers brought donuts to American soldiers on the front lines in France.

Donuts for the fundraiser can be purchased through Saturday at all Coborn’s locations in the St. Cloud area.
