A 12-year-old girl, claiming she was assaulted, was found on the Beaver Island Trail Thursday.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers responded to a call about the alleged assault, and conducted a K-9 track to search for evidence.

The search was unsuccessful, and no new information was found that proves the victim’s statement to police.

The police department is not searching for anyone related to this investigation.
