One Man Injured After Attempting To Avoid An Accident And Crashed

A Mora man who attempted to avoid an accident ended up in the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after crashing.
On Tuesday afternoon St. Cloud Police were called the intersection of Highway 23 and 22nd Avenue North for a crash. According to the police report 45-year-old Daniel Murphy of St. Joseph was going west on Highway 23 when he rear ended a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Zachary Ulmer of Big Lake. A motorcycle driven by 35-year-old Scott Schumacher of Mora tried to avoid the accident and crashed.
Schumacher was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threating injuries and was also issued a citation for a driver’s license violation. Murphy was also cited for inattentive driving.
