Police Arrest Minneapolis Man for Making Death Threat

A 24-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested Monday for allegedly threatening to kill a 20-year-old woman. It happened at around 2:30 Monday morning near the intersection of University Drive and Washington Memorial Drive in St. Cloud. St. Cloud Police say the suspect; Chris Welch attacked the woman, and threatened to kill her with a semi-automatic handgun. After a brief chase on foot, police apprehended Welch and brought him to the Stearns County Jail. He’s being held on charges of assault, terroristic threats, and fleeing officers.
