Police Looking for Suspect

St. Cloud Police are looking for a Somali man who they say attempted to force a woman onto an island at Beaver Island Trails on Monday. According to police, an 18-year-old St. Cloud woman was walking on the shoreline of the Mississippi River when the man approached her, grabbed her arm and told her that he loved her. The woman was able to break away from the man, who was described as wearing a brightly colored polo shirt with tan dress pants and black dress shoes. Police and a K-9 unit were unable to find the suspect who fled before they arrived.
The suspect does not speak very good English and is believed to be in his late 20’s or early 30’s, with a thin build, standing at over six feet tall and missing many teeth. If you have any information on this person, please contact the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200.
