Police Looking For Suspect Who Choked A Woman Multiple Times Sunday Morning

St. Cloud Police are looking for a man who choked and threw a woman on the ground multiple times on Sunday morning.
Officers were called to 1800 17th Street South after multiple calls were received of a woman screaming for help. According to the police report, officers located a 20-year-old woman of St. Cloud who said that a man who was driving a red four door Pontiac had approached her while she was walking on the road.
The man was described as being white with dark hair, about 35 to 37 years old, about 230 pounds and was wearing a black shirt. The victim said that the man threw her on the ground and choked her. She was then able to get away but was caught by the man a second time and choked again. The man fled and the vehicle was not found.
The victim received non-life threatening injuries and did not require medical treatment. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Cloud Police at 251-1200.
