Archived: Police Respond to Armed Robbery

On Sunday night St. Cloud Police were called to the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue Southeast for an armed robbery. During police investigation officers met with two victims, a 48-year-old and a 50-year old both from St. Cloud. The victims claim they were walking eastbound approaching the train bridge crossing Highway 23 East when they were approached by three men. The men were described as being 18-25 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

One of the victims said that one of the men was white and the other two were black. The victims also said that one of the suspects displayed a black firearm, pointed it at the victim and demanded property at which the time the victim handed over a substantial amount of cash. The suspects fled the area heading westbound. Officers attempted to track the men with K-9 but were unsuccessful.

The victims required no medical attention and no suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200.
