Update: Clear Lake Teen In Hospital After Head On Collision

On Monday night the St. Cloud Police Department, the St. Cloud Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and the State Patrol were called to a head on collision with injuries at the 2600 block of 3rd Street North.
Officers arrived to find the driver of an eastbound pickup truck, 17-year-old Joseph Matthew Kuntz from Clear Lake, to be pinned underneath his vehicle on the passenger’s side.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, 26-year-old Amanda Colette Binkley from Royalton sustained minor injuries and was treated by Gold Cross Ambulance.
Emergency personnel were able to remove the teen from underneath the vehicle and transported him to the St. Cloud Hospital for potential life threatening injuries. Joseph was pronounced dead at the St. Cloud Hospital due to the injuries sustained from the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and the State Patrol is reconstructing the accident.
