Police Searching for Thief

Sauk Rapids Police are looking for the person who stole items from a home Monday afternoon. It happened around 1:30 pm on the 900 block of 2nd Avenue South in Sauk Rapids. Police say someone entered the home through an unlocked door and stole 40-50 cans of beer, money and other items.
On the same day, there was a burglary just two blocks away from that home where an unknown person removed a window screen and took various items from inside the home.
Witnesses told police a well-dressed black man was going house to house in the neighborhood asking for directions. He is described as 5'5", 140 pounds, and wearing a dress shirt.
