Road Work On Highway 169 Until Mid-December
11/10/2017 - 11:15 AM
Drivers on Highway 169 should prepare for a little extra road congestion between Zimmerman and Princeton while work crews remove trees along the highway.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says trees will be removed to improve sightlines and remove debris from the nine-mile stretch of highway. Analysis of crash data from the last ten years shows that two-thirds of the crashes on this length of highway could have been avoided with fewer trees along the road.
The project began this week on Tuesday and will be finished in December.
