Archived: Saint John’s University And College Of Saint Benedict Improve In Top 100 Liberal Arts Colleges List

The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University have both moved up the charts in U.S. News and World Report magazine’s 2015 top college ratings.

Saint John’s University has tied for 73rd in the top 100 liberal arts colleges after tying for 76th in 2014’s rankings. College of Saint Benedict improves to 89th overall after tying for 94th in 2014. U.S. News’ rankings included 249 liberal arts colleges with 221 being private and 27 public. These colleges value undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences.

Also to note for the fourth time in the last six years, Saint John’s was named to the ‘Up-and-Coming” list of national liberal arts colleges tying for sixth this year. This list was comprised after college administrators in this past spring were asked to nominate institutions that had “made the most promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty, student life, campus or facilities.
