Archived: Salvation Army Coat Drive Kicks Off Saturday At Coborn’s On Cooper

The Salvation Army and Coborn’s Incorporated are teaming up for the Army’s annual Coat Drive. The coat drive kicks off this Saturday at the Coborn’s Superstore on Cooper Avenue.

The St. Cloud State University hockey team will sign autographs at the coat drive from 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

The coat drive will go to the end of October. Gently used coats can be dropped off in the Salvation Army Drop Boxes outside of any Coborn’s and Cash Wise parking lots. They can also be brought to the St. Cloud Area Salvation Army Service Center at 400 Highway 10 South in St. Cloud.

The Salvation Army says that thousands of people in the St. Cloud area do not have the option of purchasing their own warm coat.
