Archived: Sauk Rapids Mayor Arrested On Sunday After Crash

The Mayor of Sauk Rapids was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Sunday afternoon.

According to the police report, the Sauk Rapids Police Department was investigating a one car property damage accident at 800 18th Street. During the investigation, the driver, 48-year-old Bradley Charles Gunderson, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

The Minnesota State Patrol assisted in processing Gunderson, who provided a urine sample for analysis by the BCA laboratories, to determine his blood alcohol level.

Gunderson was released by the Minnesota State Patrol, and no formal charges will be made until the results are returned from the BCA.
