A police investigation revealed that teenagers who knew each other were fighting when one pulled out a knife and cut the victim. The victim is a 16-year-old who lives in Sauk Rapids. The suspects had left prior to the scene, but officers have identified and detained a 17-year-old man from Sauk Rapids who used the knife during the fight.

The suspect will be in Benton County Jail until he can be seen in court. The victim was taken by Goldcross Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital for his non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
