St. Cloud State University has announced the keynote speaker for their annual Winter Institute.

Civil engineer and transportation analyst David Levinson will address the institute at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 19.

Levinson is an endowed chair at the University of Minnesota where he directs the Networks, Economics and Urban Systems Research Group. In addition, Levinson is a lead blogger for streets.mn, a blog about Minnesota land usage and transportation and he has authored and co-authored four books.

Levinson’s keynote address will wrap up the two day economic summit held at SCSU. The February 18 and 19 event is sponsored by the SCSU Department of Economics and the School of Public Affairs.
