SCSU College Of Science And Engineering Dean Resigns

The Dean of the SCSU College of Science and Engineering, Dr. David DeGroote, has announced that he is resigning from his position.
SCSU President Earl H. Potter III says that Dr. DeGroote has been a visionary and dedicated leader of the College of Science and Engineering through the years of change and progress. Dr. DeGroote had recently helped with the planning and development of the new I-SELF building.
Associate Provost for research and dean of graduate studies, Dr. Dan Gregory, will take over as interim dean on June 1, 2013.
A national search for a new permanent dean of the college will launch next fall, with the hope that the new dean will be in place by July 1, 2014.
