The St. Cloud State University Community Gardens has been named the best community garden in the state.

WCCO-TV’s viewer selected Best of Minnesota profiled the garden during its segment Wednesday night.

The garden is made up of SCSU faculty, staff, students, and St. Cloud community members and is led by Sociology professor Tracy Ore.

The Community Garden located on 5th Avenue South near 6th Street is currently celebrating its 10th growing season and has just installed an irrigation system designed by students.
